Publisher disclosure: ConsumerGuide.website is owned by FMY International Co Ltd and is independent of Buy Factory Direct and Screen Door Company. Screen Door Company states it is a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd. No shared ownership, paid placement, free sample or affiliate relationship was established for this article. We did not physically test either product.

This comparison is for removable magnetic mesh doorway curtains, not framed security doors. The specialist offers a broad size range and a custom-size route; the major-retailer option can cost less when its fixed dimensions suit the opening. Similar names do not establish equal mesh, magnet strength, durability or installed fit.

What matters before buying

  • Measure the opening: compare the seller's required frame allowance, not just the door-leaf size.
  • Check the substrate: adhesive attachment can perform differently on painted timber, powder-coated metal, masonry or textured surfaces.
  • Check the legal seller: marketplace listings can have different delivery, return and warranty terms from retailer-sold stock.
  • Do not treat it as security: a removable mesh curtain is an insect barrier, not a child, pet, pool or intrusion barrier.

Methodology and limits

We recorded public product pages and prices on 30 August 2026, selected one country-specific specialist storefront and one current major-retailer comparator, and compared price, stated dimensions, attachment and fulfilment model. Prices are snapshots and may change by size, membership, store or delivery location. We did not buy, install, laboratory-test or numerically score these products, and seller claims were not independently verified.

Editorial view

Choose the retailer product when its stated fixed size fits and lowest upfront price is the main priority. Consider the specialist when you need a wider published size range or custom sizing. In either case, confirm measurements, attachment suitability, delivery and opened-product return rules before ordering.
